POP MART MEGA SPACE MOLLY 400%+100% Crayon Shinchan: A Detailed Buying Guide

Quick Answer

If you're a dedicated Space Molly collector or a Crayon Shinchan fan, the POP MART MEGA SPACE MOLLY 400%+100% Crayon Shinchan set is a standout addition. However, it's a premium purchase, so verify authenticity, know your display space, and decide if the combined 400% and 100% format fits your collection goals.

The POP MART MEGA SPACE MOLLY 400%+100% Crayon Shinchan set merges the futuristic charm of Space Molly with the playful nostalgia of Crayon Shinchan. This isn't a small blind box—it's a statement piece that commands attention on any shelf. But before you hit checkout, there are a few things to consider.

This guide walks you through the key decision points: what the 400% and 100% sizes mean for display, how to spot a genuine set, and whether this crossover fits your collecting style. We'll also compare it to other POP MART releases to help you make an informed choice.

What to Expect from the MEGA SPACE MOLLY Crayon Shinchan Set

The MEGA SPACE MOLLY line is known for its larger-than-life interpretations of the classic Molly figure, and the Crayon Shinchan crossover is no exception. The set includes a 400% (approximately 28 cm) Space Molly figure and a 100% (approximately 7 cm) companion, offering both a centerpiece and a desk-friendly sidekick. This dual-size format is a signature of the MEGA series, giving you flexibility in how you display them.

Because this is a licensed crossover, the design blends Space Molly's sleek, cosmic aesthetic with Crayon Shinchan's iconic, playful look. Expect bold colors and a design that appeals to both anime fans and art toy collectors. The 400% figure is substantial, so measure your shelf height and depth before committing—it's not a figure that fits in a standard cubby hole.

• Check your shelf clearance: the 400% figure is roughly 28 cm tall, so plan for at least 30 cm of vertical space.
• The 100% figure is a great travel or desk piece, but it's easy to misplace—keep it in a visible spot.

Authenticity: How to Avoid Fakes

With popular POP MART releases, counterfeits are a real concern. The MEGA SPACE MOLLY Crayon Shinchan set is no exception. Authentic figures have crisp paint applications, sturdy joints (if any), and official branding on the box and figure base. Always purchase from a trusted retailer or POP MART's official channels.

One red flag is a price that seems too good to be true. If you see a listing significantly below the typical retail price, it's likely a fake. Check for the official POP MART hologram or serial number on the packaging, and compare the figure's paint job to official photos. A genuine figure will have clean lines and no sloppy overspray.

• Look for the official POP MART logo and any unique serial numbers on the box.
• Compare the figure's paint and sculpt to official product images before buying.

Price and Value Considerations

The MEGA SPACE MOLLY 400%+100% Crayon Shinchan set is a premium collectible, and its price reflects that. While the exact retail price can vary, you should expect to pay a significant amount compared to standard POP MART blind boxes. The set's value lies in its size, the crossover appeal, and its limited-edition nature.

Before you buy, think about your budget and whether this piece will hold value for you personally. If you're a completionist, this is a must-have. If you're just curious about the crossover, you might prefer a smaller, more affordable POP MART item. Also, consider resale value—limited-edition sets often appreciate, but that's never guaranteed.

• Set a budget and stick to it—premium figures can tempt you to overspend.
• If resale value matters, keep the original box and packaging in good condition.

Decision Rules for Buying the MEGA SPACE MOLLY Crayon Shinchan Set

• If you're a Space Molly completionist: This crossover is a must-have for your collection. The 400%+100% format is a signature of the MEGA line, and missing it would leave a gap in your Space Molly series. Add to cart without hesitation.
• If you're a casual Crayon Shinchan fan: Consider whether the premium price is worth it for a character you like but don't collect. You might find smaller, more affordable Shinchan figures that suit your budget better. Weigh the price against your fandom level.
• If you're buying as an investment: Limited-edition POP MART sets can appreciate, but it's not a guarantee. Keep the box pristine and buy from a reputable source to ensure authenticity. Treat it as a collectible first, investment second.
